    Hi All.

I got a Samsung Galaxy S4 (Korean variant, SHV-E330L, Android 5.0.1, no SD-card, only SIM inserted) which is turning off on its own without any warning. Its like pulling out the battery. Sometimes it reboots once or twice and turns off again after the reboot. When either of those things happen, I'm no longer able to turn ON the phone by pressing and holding the power button.

In order for me to do boot the phone successfully, I need to connect it to a charger
and wait for few seconds until the samsung battery charging image shows up. Then that's the time I will be able to turn it ON, disconnect the charger, and use my phone w/o any issues.

This occurs randomly (e.g watching youtube, browsing the web, etc..) and also even
I have enough battery. I've researched similar posts online regarding S4s who turns
off/reboot randomly but I didn't see any scenario exactly the same as mine on w/c I
need to connect it first to a charger for few seconds to turn it ON.

I hope someone can help me with this.

    Thank you!

Have you tried a new battery, or one known to be good?
Also, have you checked that the battery connections are good?

As an update, I tried to remove the SIM card and monitor the phone for 1 - 3 days and suprisingly it didn't have any reboot/poweroff issue!
At this point, I don't know if the radio is defective or I need a new ROM to install.
