I try making a phone call, dials and immediately hangs up and if anyone tries to call me goes directly to voicemail ?

This is a very broad question with a lot of possibilities. My first guess is that it sounds like there's a problem with your cellular service or activation. Is this a new phone or new SIM card? Maybe it wasn't activated properly. I would suggest contacting your cell provider.
