Why is my LG L22C speakerphone/microphone not working?

I have an LG L22C cell phone through Tracfone. Whether my phone is on speaker or not, when I FaceTime with my sister, she only hears static when I talk. I only catch every other word from her. When I use the phone like a regular phone, it's fine. But when I put a regular call on speaker, again, static. I tried removing the phone cover, even though it's cut out where the little speaker/microphone is, it still doesn't work. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
