Completely Erase App Data/Cache

[AC Question]

I downloaded Pokemon GO for Android, signed in with my GMAIL account. I chose a starter pokemon, and accidentally transferred it (gone forever). Can't just erase cache on phone or uninstall app, because it's linked with my Google acc. Is there a way to go in and completely erase all data so I can re-download and restart the app fresh and start over??
