Hi.

I was Trying to Wipe Data/Factory Reset my Samsung Galaxy S4 using the "Volume Up, Power and Home button" but i messed it up. Now when i try to Reboot System i get a warning stating "root access is missing. Root device......" and whne i plug it on a Pc it doesnt recognise the USB port or anything.

Please help

Performing a factory reset IS erasing all the apps and data. You're asking how to erase all the apps and data without erasing all the apps and data.

Tell us what the problem is and perhaps we can suggest a better way to fix it. (If it's a bad app, just restart in Safe Mode* and run apps one by one until the problem appears - that app is the one causing it.])

*Power the phone off. Once the phone is off, press and hold the Power button to turn the phone back on. When the Galaxy S4 logo appears on the screen, press and hold the Volume Down button. Continue to hold the Volume Down button until the phone finishes starting. You'll see the words “Safe Mode” appear in the lower left corner of the screen.

To get out of Safe Mode, just restart the phone normally - long-press the power button and tap Restart.
