I made a backup of my Galaxy S5 about 6 weeks ago, using Philz Touch recovery and selecting "custom recovery" and selecting everything in there. Today I went to restore it, and everything seemed to be working smoothly.
But when I try to run most of my apps they crash instantly. I tried wiping cache/Dalvik cache, but to no avail.
I then had a look at the LogCat in Android Studio, and it seems the apps that crash have file permission problems ( "Caused by: java.io.IOException: open failed: EACCES (Permission denied)" ).
I haven't changed anything on the SD card since I made the backup. ES File Explorer seems to be able to read/write to the SD card. What could be wrong?
