S6 active not recieving marshmallow update

[AC Question]

My s6 won't find the marshmallow update. I have at and t and I know that other people are recieving it but when I check the software update it scans and finds nothing. What should I do/try?

What carrier do you have?
I've heard stories that you can remove the SIM card, reboot, let it find the OTA update, download, restart and then re-insert the SIM.
