Did it get damp, or wet? Either way, you can try the rice trick. Remove the battery and place the device in a brown paper bag (or similar) and fill the bag with rice. Close the bag and let it sit for 24 hours. After 24 hours, remove the device, install the battery and see if it will power on. If it does not power on, you most likely damaged it beyond repair.
If this were to happen to you again, immediately remove the battery and place it in a bag of rice. Plugging in the charger on a wet device should never happen. Good luck.
