I have a Consumer Cellular Moto E2. It locked up on 05/03/16 and I haven't been able to use it since then. It boots, but I don’t have access to the phone’s functions; however, the apps are still functioning - a dialog box will appear periodically indicating that they are being updated. After a number of calls to Consumer Cellular’s support, I took it to a cell phone repair shop. The tech indicated that Motorola sent a bad auto update, apparently associated with the boot logo. He's done everything he can, and has reached out to his network, but he can't find a workable approach because he can't get into the phone. Does anyone know if Motorola has a patch, and one that won't require a factory reset? I'm trying to save photos that haven't been backed up.

    Thanks. Bernadette
