Why isn't my GPS connecting and my location says China?

I bought a Note 3, it's original it has a 5.0 Android installed. I can't get the GPS to work. I need it to work for Pokemon Go. Its cannot get a lock on my location and when trying to add a City from the widgets it says I am in China. What should I do?

Where did you buy the device from? I presume you aren't in China? did you add a Google account to the phone when you first got it?
