My Moto X usb socket has failed. It will not charge and will not recognise anything plugged into it, ie card reader. It is under warranty but I am having difficulty locating the seller and will fix it myself if it is easy.

Is it less than 1 year old? You will have to prove it to them with when the phone was purchased new.

Thanks for the answer. The fix it thing was no help but I have found my PayPal entry for the phone which should be OK as proof of purchase. Now what do I do?
