Show notification earphone connected n play Sounds without connecting earphone

I am using galaxy S 3 mini. Recently i dropped my phone in water. I made sure it was wet. But now it is working alright. But headphone is not being connected, the notification of earphone is connected appears automatically and play sound frequently. So the battery cannot stand for long time.Plz help should i go for repair
