Samsung galaxy s3

[AC Question]

I did a factory reset on an old Samsung Galaxy S3, it's not activated or anything. When it gave me the option of wipe data and reset it said that it fail...then I did a cache cleaning and after that phone turned off and won't turn back on at all. Not even the light turns on or charges. I tries pressing the up/down button plus the power to reboot but nothing no life, It's completely dead. Would I be able to recover the phone or is it a loss cause?
