Do I have a virus?

Pop-up says Samsung Galaxy S111 mini is infected with virus and battery has been damaged. Continue with instructions to fix phone. Do not close this window. **Exit at your own risk**
Have I fallen for a scam here? I panicked and tapped on the link and Go Security app was installed. It said to keep the app for at least 3 days. I know Go Security does exist on Play Store but I have uninstalled it as worried it might be malware. Feel a bit stupid really!

Yup. You got scammed. Delete app and never ever click on any link from popups! Ever.

Thank you for replying. I did uninstall it. Hope it won't have done any damage. Time will tell I suppose. Is there a way of checking?

Did you Clear Cache, Clear Data, and Force Stop before Uninstalling?
