Sharing/Syncing Contacts

[AC Question]

I have all my contacts saved on my phone, but want to share them between Gmail and Outlook. I have both accounts set to sync contacts, and they are accessible from those two apps on my phone. However, when I use my PC to access Gmail, or Hotmail, no contacts are available. I have tried importing the contacts and have had some success, but there are lots of random (old) contacts being imported also. My phone is set to display ALL contacts, so I'm not sure where the random contacts are coming from. If I were to keep the imported list, and manually clean them up, will they stay synced? My guess is no.
