My Samsung Galaxy J7 Is Giving Me An Authorization Failure And Is Telling Me To Factory Reset

So to summarize I ended up sleeping on my phone and when I woke up all that was left for me was a black screen that would't turn off normally just by tapping the power button. It told me that the info given was false and I had failed authorization and had to factory reset. What I ended up doing is just ignoring the message restarting the phone by holding the power button. It restarted and my phone was fine. I want to know how something like this happened and is it legitimate.
