Galaxy S4 soft keys & home button not working

Hello,

A few days ago I bought a second-hand Galaxy S4 for quite a cheap price, the only issue with it being that the soft keys and home button are unfunctional. The soft keys do not light up at all and do nothing; the home button is there, I can press it, but it does nothing.

While I managed to work around this with the Handy Soft Keys app, I would like to get this fixed. Does anyone know what the cause for such an issue would be? Likewise, what would be the price to get it fixed in a service (authorized or not, warranty's long gone).

Its likely that the particular board that employs these functions, has become damaged, or simply a cable unplugged, after either a fall, or a previous repair of the phone. Locate a tear down video, there are many...and see if the cable is unplugged.
