when i connect my phone to the computer for copying files to my phone it only shows my SD card which is now almost full.
now i need to copy files to my internal storage but it is not shown in the computer.
how can i copy files to internal storage when i still got a lot of space left in it?

I have no first hand experience of using adoptable storage but I would have though that a file manager would do the job. If there is no file manager on your phone get something like Astro from the Playstore. Just one tip, always copy and paste as if the move command goes wrong you could lose data

The following is an excerpt from an article that may help.

"If you decide to use the card for something else, or you want to trade up to a larger one, you need to do some housekeeping. The data stored on your card must be migrated back to the internal flash storage in order to avoid breaking your apps. You can do that from the internal storage menu. If you can’t fit everything, you’ll have to delete things until you’re under the limit. At that point, you can go back into the SD card storage menu and format it as “portable,” meaning it will work in other devices. If there’s any data still on it, you will lose it."

Since the card is considered a partition, locate the files using your native file viewer that you want to move and long press the file, a menu should appear allowing you to copy or move.
Astro files may have a different process

It's very different in the buildin file manager
As you can see it shows internal storage but when I check the storage info it shows that of the SD card and I am not able to select external storage from the options

If I understand the adopt process, the SD card is considered a partition not external storage. The card "IS" considered internal storage, I believe.
As an alternative, perhaps YouTube would offer a more detailed procedures concerning them.
