Why can't connect my laptop to my hotspot?

[AC Question]

My android hotspot is an Samsung Tab (GT-P3100) using android 4.0.4
How can I connect my laptop (which is connecting to my Sony M perfectly) to it?
Is there any setting (except disabling power saving - it didn't work) that I should change?

Welcome to Android Central! Are you trying to tether the laptop to the tablet in order for the laptop to use the tablet's web connection? Is the tablet wi-fi only, or is it LTE-enabled?
