Can I delete all of the miscellaneous files that I don't want off of my device without using an app?

I wanted to download an app but I did not have enough storage on my phone, so I opened up my storage to see what was taking up all of the space. I saw that almost 4 out of the 8 gb of storage I have on my phone was taken up by miscellaneous files. So I came here to see if I could delete them so that I have more space.

Open up the folder where the misc. files are located and see what is there. Often times there will be downloads or other files you may have accumulated which can be deleted. By clicking the misc tab in system settings > storage you should be able to access and see what is in there.

Also, consider deleting photos from the device. You can backup to another location or online via Google Photos to free additional space.
