I have a Xiaomi Mi3. And up until now, an S3 was the nicest phone I've ever had. So I've never had the chance to experience quick charge. It says on GSM arena that this phone supports quick charging, so I bought an Aukey quickcharge 2.0 wall adapter along with an Anker 6ft braided cable (that reportedly supports Quickcharge).
I've seen someone mention that when they plug in their quick charge phone, they get some sort of notification saying it's doing so. That hasn't happened to me although not sure if that's true or not.
I plugged in my phone 40 minutes ago, and it's gone from 30% to 67% in that time. I'm so used to ridiculously slow charging phones, so it DOES feel quicker to me. But when I check how much time has passed since I plugged it in, it doesn't seem any different than my old generic charger and cable.
The phone has a 3,010mah battery, so that might be relevant. And if software matters, I'm running 6.0.1 through a Dirty Unicorns rom. It has a tweak in the custom settings that says to display the charging current on the lockscreen, but it always says 1,500/hour no matter what charger I'm using. But I honestly don't think that tweak functions properly anyways, but thought I'd mention it.
But yea, what charging times should I expect with quick charge, and is there any way of knowing it's functioning correctly?

You can use ampere to see if it's quick charging.
