Can I make a micro sd sim and put it on a wifi only tablet?

Hi. I have a wifi only tablet and I have been thinking of ways to connect my wifi only tablet to a network and I have found a way: by making a micro sd sim to put on my tablet through the sd card slot. But can it work? I mean there is no calling app on it, but it shows it I'm settings> apps> all apps. Could it be that if I put it on will the app get activated, like I want it to?
