Why can I not get Skype to work on my Galaxy S7?

When I try & set the permissions, it keeps telling me that I first have to turn off the screen overlay which I have done. But the message still keeps coming up and won't let me turn on permissions.

Go to settings, application, application manager, Skype turn on all permissions.

First turn off all screen overlay for all apps.

Odd "screen overlay" pop up shows up often with some apps, what is it and how to properly select it?

Most users with a similar problem managed to fix it uninstalling Clean Master (or any other app by Cheetah Mobile). Tell us how it goes.
