AC Question

I have a Samsung Galaxy Avant for well over a year a just today I started getting this annoying error message only when using the Gallery app to view images. The message instantly pops up and when I hit OK the gallery just shuts down so it's impossible for me to view my images and videos. I cannot turn off or disable the CloudAgent app under the application manager in settings, it doesn't give me any such option. If someone can tell me how to insert screenshots I will be happy to do so. Thank you.

"Of course you can sign out of dropbox.............."

Ok.. found it.. so sorry .. it did work .... photos, videos, images and camera work fine for now ! ..thanks for your patience:).. sorry for my lack of mine ..:-! thanks again..!

me too - i have samsung 4. And just today when I go to look at photos in the gallery it says "unfortunately cloudagent has stopped". There is no option in application manager for me to remove cloudagent

I'm experiencing exactly the same thing with the gallery app.

Ok, the problem is directly related to Dropbox. Just sign out of Dropbox and the problem will get fixed right away. Worked with me!

Re: How do I fix error message "Unfortunately CloudAgent has stopped"? - WORKS

Possibly, a recent update to Dropbox (12.2.2) may have introduced this, however... to fix (as previously posted)...simply:

Sign out of Dropbox in the Dropbox app
Sign back in.

Problem gone.

Hi,

I've got a Note 3 running 5.0 and experiencing the same. Everything was fine yesterday afternoon and suspect an update/push has taken place in the evening or during the night. This morning onward I'm not able to open the Samsung Video or Gallery apps - or rather I can but they crash out with the above error.

I've read that this is related to Dropbox, but the same references are a few years old and disabling CloudAgent doesn't change anything. No success with cleaning tools or clearing the cache partition either. But what does help is switching wireless off. With mobile data still on I can use Video and Gallery as normal.

Recently I was unable to view my Google account settings without it crashing... fixed by Google updating the Play services again. I'm hoping this will be something similar.

Jonty.

Same issue here. I disable wifi and no problem. Therefore might be linked to an app or service which is active when on wifi not on data from service provider. Have to digg deeper.

Ive been getting the same problem this evening. I tried signing out of drop box and back in but it didnt work ive tried force stopping and disabling cloudagent but it hasn't worked ive tried to re download cloud agent but that didnt work.. i dont know what else to try? Its also stopped me accessing about 20 pics just from today (it does let me view some) i dont know how to get these either can anyone help me? :)

Re: How do I fix error message "Unfortunately CloudAgent has stopped"?

I tried everything on my galaxy note 3, signed out of dropbox, even uninstalled all the updates and disabled the app. I am still getting the message, i can't open any photos that are emailed to me and i can't view my gallery. As soon as i open it i get the cloud agent message and it shuts down the gallery. This problem just started yesterday for me. Anyone else still having problems like me, I'm on a Sprint Galaxy note 3. Help!

Re: How do I fix error message "Unfortunately CloudAgent has stopped"?

I started getting this yesterday and did the same logged out and back in but still there on my S5. If you do not sync so that you have a folder for off line dropbox it does not pop up as soon as you sync and folder appears in Gallery it pops up. fault with cloud and Dropbox.

I just signed out of Dropbox, but I'm still getting the same error message in the camera app.

Ok, now I disabled wifi and the gallery works fine.

Oh my goodness, this was a doozie problem.

Anyway, I had to go the quit Dropbox thing twice....and now it works.

AndroidCentral is the only site that had the best fixes to this problem. Thanks guys!
