Hi, I've just updated my Android to the Marshmallow. Ever since I updated it, I seem to be having countless notification problems.
I do not receive notifications at all unless I manually open up each app and wait for it to sync and update my messages. This is happening for all my apps that I use daily including Gmail, Outlook, Snapchat, Messenger, WhatsApp.
In my settings, App notification management, When device is locked->Show all notification content. Furthermore, for my Gmail. Outlook and WhatsApp, it is all set on Priority. Also within each app's settings, I have made sure that the notification is turned on for all emails and messages. However, still nothing.
This is so frustrating and disappointing as the purpose of a phone is to enable me to communicate with people.
Also, is there a way to put my phone on silent mode while still receiving notifications by lighting up my screen? I work in an office and the sound is disruptive but I always have my phone somewhere visible in order to be able to respond to urgent messages when they come in. However, since upgrading, my screen does not light up at all - because I am not receiving those notifications unless I personally open each app manually.
Can someone please help explain why and how to fix it?
