Why are my txt messages going to fb messager

When I dsend a text it also appears on messsger Facebook why is this happening

Because you allowed it to, which is not hard to do since it takes that ownership as a result of even being installed. Facebook wants to be in EVERYTHING, which is why I have not given in to installing FB Messenger on my devices and people that might message me on FB know this and don't. There should be options in the Messenger app to disable this but since I don't have it, I can't say exactly where.
