My text messages are being slower than usual.

I've had a Samsung galaxy avaunt since last year and recently probably a week or two ago the message app send texts messages up to 5 minutes or more late. I've tried restarting, powering off, clearing the cache and data, disabling and re enabling the app, deleting all the old messages, and more. What can I do to fix it should i call customer service or take it in to be fixed.

It may be a problem that they are aware of, or something about which they could advise you. It's worth eliminating possible network problems first.
