Why can't access my files through USB plug in?

A

AC Question

I recently (and reluctantly) upgraded to Windows 10 and now when I plug in my MotoG3, I can't access my files through my computer. I also have and SD Card inserted. Help!

Did you download the drivers for your device?
If not plug, your device in and in Windows settings, tell it to search for new devices. If the drivers are not in place, it will ask to find them for you.
From there, you should be able to view them through Windows file explorer or pull down on the device notification bar to select how you wish to connect through USB.

Welcome to Android Central! The default in Marshmallow when connecting via USB is Charge Only. You usually have to swipe down the notification panel, tap the USB notification, and change it to MTP (or File Transfer).
