Cant Enable Lock screen (Galaxy s5)

I Had finger print unlock before changing my password to the PIN code. after i change it to the pin code i know exactly what i set it to. but now it ask me to swipe to unlock and when i try set a password it saying i have a active password and its not what i set it to. i can get into my phone but im stuck without a password. is there a way to get to password reset without the lock screen or in the settings menu.

Is the password that you can't change your fingerprint backup password?
In the finger print section turn off finger print and under secure lock settings, set your time interval, to instantly with power key.

Its not a password its asking me for a pin and its not what i set it to. I always have instant lock on but still no lock screen shows up. Is the lock screen is the only way i can reset password with my google account?
