My sd card will not work in my Droid Maxx 2

[AC Question]

This is the second card I have tried, neither of which will work it begins by giving me a notification on start up Saying the sd is corrupt and promises me to fix it by formatting. It then give me two options, one to format for internal storage and the other for portable storage. If I format by internal storage it begins formating and immediately hits 30% and then never moves but about 10 minutes after starting it gives me a command failure code. Same for the portable storage but it only makes it to 20%. Please help, it's getting old.
