Screen frozen on the start up att logo. Is there a way to get it to turn off to restart

My tablet restarted itself randomly and now it is stuck on the start up att screen. Won't do anything. I tried holding in the power button. Didn't do anything. Tried plugging it in. Nothing. Totally stuck.
