HTC Desire 516 stuck on HTC Logo, Hard reset is not working

Hi everyone,
I am totally new to this forum because I've never had troubles with android stuff, until now. Basically, my father has a HTC Desire 516 Dual Sim that randomly rebooted himself while he was using the phone and it got stuck on the logo. After many unsuccessful tries, I decided to do a hard reset as my dad gave me the ok. I did it and all worked fine for few hours, then the same thing appened so I did another hard reset. Basically the phone was getting worse and worse until it was impossible to use. Hard reset won't let the phone pass the HTC Logo Screen anymore, the only thing to work is bootloader but this isn't useful anymore (safe mode is of course not working). What could it be? Can I fix this? Since the case is so particular and unique, I prefer asking your opinion guys. NOTE: My dad is a blacksmith and the phone is in direct contact with iron dust sometimes. Could this be the reason of the issue?

Hi, were you able to receive any advice on the above? as the device is a few years old, it might have just ran its course. Have you considered getting a new phone?
