AC Question
Not sure if this is Android or a carrier "feature". I shut my Wi-Fi OFF, to conserve battery when I am traveling in remote locations were I have no use for Wi-Fi, but could have an emergency and need power for my cellular communication. My BlackBerry Priv, turns the Wi-Fi on by itself. Today I checked on was down to 15% battery after 5 hours. I am not stupid. I know the Wi-Fi is being enabled to save carrier bandwidth and to determine exactly where I am and where I have been. Neither of those reasons impresses me in the least. So how do I keep the Wi-Fi OFF Do I need to snap this new phone in half like I did my Nokia Windows phone, because the operating system can't understand the concept of what is MINE. Thank you!
