I was recently looking at my data usage in the settings menu and noticed an app I have never seen before. Does anyone know what the one that says "10252" is? I have no app by that specific name and there is no way to go to the app settings by clicking on it from the usage menu.

I looked through all my apps in the app manager and it is not listed in any slide eg. Running, downloaded or All. If anyone knows what this is I would appreciate it.

The only data it uses is background data, which I have subsequently turned off.

    Thanks in advance.

I'm using a Motorola Moto G (3 Generation). I haven't had any problems with the phone before yesterday. My battery is only lasting around 2 hours from 100% to 0. This is because there is a program or something in the OS which is using it up. It used to be called 10106 and that was draining the same amount as the screen. So thinking it was a virus I factory reset the phone. The name of this then changed to App optimisation and holed the same characteristics as "10106" it had a black android logo next to it and whenever I touched it to see the batter usage in more detail it would change the logo into a green head of the android. Anyway I don't know if it's a virus or a bug with Android 6.0 but it's killing my battery and that's not good with the phone I use at college. Please Help!

It sounds like a virus, although I would have thought a factory reset would have removed it. I would suggest two things. Download a free antivirus from playstore, and if that doesn't work you can email Motorola with the problem.

Hey! Como te va Bernardo. The best way to avoid this bloatware-crapware-virus
whatever its called is Avoid to install these kind of apps. Android-OS
by itself it has Built-In defenses against viruses.

Anyway start with this Fix by B.Diddy is for Moto-x..but may work for G-ver. too

Boot in safe mode and see if battery lasts longer.
If battery lasts longer in safe mode then factory reset the handset and carefully choose which apps you install after factory reset.

Usually when you see any '10xxx' process in your battery stats it refers to an app that was recently uninstalled. In most cases it disappears after your next full charge.

Checking the battery usage of my S7 shows top three users to be -

    10199 17%
    Android System 16%
    Android OS 15%

No clue as to what the 10199 process is but it has the Android icon displayed to the left of it.

Thanks for any help in figuring this out - tried Googling it without luck

I recently reset my N5 and I've been monitoring my battery usage to prevent some apps from running when I don't want them to. I came across one app in the list 10219. does anyone know what it is?

Normally a number like that is an app you have uninstalled, it should go from the list after the next charge.

    Beaten to it.

Yeah that would explain it. I uninstalled something after I noticed it was using some battery even though I wasn't using the app. Thanks

I have a Moto X pure and I checked my battery usage today to find out some unknown app is draining my battery fast.(30% more than any other programs) The name is 10137 and it has an Android icon. I can't disable or force stop it, and I can't find any information about it. Anyone know what this is?

    Thank you all in advance

Battery life has been abismal lately. It's was 100% at 7:30 am this morning and was down to 45% by 1:00 PM with almost no usage.

In the battery settings, it's say "10198" is using 66% of the battery. What the hell is that and what does it mean?! I think it's part of the OS as you can not force stop it.

Btw, I've already tried a factory rest and clearing the cache. Help!

So I noticed when I was checking my battery life and where it was draining that at the top of the list, above android OS. Was something called 10177, no info on what it is from Google searching. Was what it is, does, and if I need it.

I've been installing/uninstalling email applications today trying to find one that I like for all three accounts.

At any rate, after getting Outlook installed (works so far) I noticed that there was an application called 10256 running at the top of the battery/CPU stack, with 25% of usage.

I rebooted but the process is still there. Anyone know what it might be? Will it go away after the next charge cycle?

    Thanks!
