How to get my S7 phone to mirror on a Honda CRV display

I would like to have my S7 phone display to show up on my Honda CR-V display. I talked to the Samsung expert at Best Buy and was told a Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter V2 would work. It did not. the car has an HDMI and USB connector so the adapter COULD have worked because the car has similar connectors as a smart TV. I also bought a wire on Ebay which was not compatible with the S7 phone. And I bought a Samsung device but it supposedly only works with the S5.

The S7 doesn't support mhl so a cable connection won't work
