Why does Nexus 10 optimize all apps when put on charge after battery completely drained

AC Question

On occasion I find my Google Nexus 10 dead. I try to power it up and it just shuts right back off. I place a charger on it and try to power up again and get a grey box with: Android is starting....optimizing app x of xxx. Is this normal?

Well first let me say allowing the device to die due to low battery power is not good for it. Some devices may call it different things but basically it sounds like it may be doing the same thing as check disc after you hold the power button on your pc . Basically scanning for corrupted data, and other issues from improper shutdown. Repeated improper shutdown can cause corrupted data and if this happens to be crucial data your device could run into some serious issues and my get to the point that a factory reset is needed, at which point you may suffer data loss.
