I can not speak for the apps that you've downloaded, but seem if something worked before the app and now it doesn't seems logical that maybe the app had something to do with the error. I would disable the app just to find out if the touch sensitive screen return functioning.. then enable the music app once again to see if the issue occurs again. Just trial and error method and just to rule our total touch screen failure.
Granted if one can't swipe.. then how is one to access the apps to disable them.. *Ponders* could mean a total wipe of the system.. let's how you've been keeping a back up of your system on the SD card or Google drive etc.
