Tablet keyboard suddenly typing wrong characters

I have a Samsung galaxy tab s. Bought the Bluetooth keyboard/cover art the same time 2+ years ago. Suddenly yesterday the keys started typing different characters. I've unpaired & repaired the keyboard and checked the language settings. Can't seem to resolve the issue. Any help?

I guess the obvious question is... Have you attempted to pair the keyboard to any other device to see if it works properly? Might just be the keyboard went bad.
