Im using gionee s6. Today i wanted to back up my pics so i selected all the photos n decrypted them. And all of a sudden after i connected my phone to laptop the images just disappeared.
My phone is just showing the images That come pre-installed in the phone. Also the camera is not working. All the files after connecting to laptop are showing empty.

It was on internal storage. Apparently the images tht i deleted, i was able to get them back from trash. But there is nothing else.

Have you already tried using a file manager app to look in the /DCIM/Camera directory (if these were photos you took with the Camera app), to see if the actual photo files are still there?

Did you use a Move command for any of these files before they were lost?
