Texting fractions

I want to text the symbol for half with my Samsung Galaxy S4. How?

I am guessing that there is no such symbol that is universally agreed on for that since either your phone nor my LG G4 has such a symbol.
I am also guessing that even if there was, the 3-character string "1/2" would probably be quicker to type any way.
