Followup on Motorola G 2nd Gen (2014) Dictionary problems

Can't figure out how to join existing thread. Phone upgraded to Android 6. since then more upgrades, situation is worse. Contacted Motorola, they claim that dictionary problem is Android Google cause. Now, dictionary will not accept any number as the "word". Previously, if I went through the entire short cut the word would appear, now nothing.
