Question regarding active sync of text message with exchange email

[AC Question]

I have recently installed an exchange email on on5. I think I accidentally checked the message sync and some of the incoming texts went into the email.

I just want to check does the active sync only sync incoming messages with the email and not the outgoing ones?

Can it sync with prior messages as well or just new incoming messages?
