Hi I previously had a Samsung s4 mini on an EE contract with 2gb of free data, in the 2 years I had this phone I never came close to using it all. I switched to O2 in July and got the new Galaxy A3 and have this month hit my 3gb usage.

I restrict background data on my phone. and have set my apps to only update via wifi as I did when I had my previous phone. 80% of my app usage is via wifi so I'm at a loss of what is causing this.

Looking at the data usage under settings It says that between the 1-31 Aug I've used 0.95GB for twitter, 533MB for Instagram 409MB for Chrome 48.26MB for Spotify the rest are all KBs. 80% of my app use is via wifi and not changed my viewing patterns since changing phones so I can't understand how they've got so high. I've now uninstalled twitter as it was at 286MB already for Sep.

Wew that's huge for Twitter. Do you have video auto play on? That's pretty big though. See a lot of video tweets/vines?
