Why is there is an incognito icon in the upper left corner of the android?

AC Question

My partner sent over a screen shot of something yesterday AM and I noticed the incognito icon in the top left corner (never have seen that before on his phone). Does it mean he was browsing incognito or have an open webpage that was being searched in that mode? I know the majority of use is for porn (and I don't care if that is what it is) but could he be using it for something else? I don't have the icon/screen shot to share so I am hoping someone knows what I am talking about.

Welcome to Android Central! One of Chrome's recent updates added this feature, showing an incognito notification icon when you're browsing incognito. I think they're meant to remind the user that incognito tabs are still open in the background. Since the use of incognito tabs is usually due to privacy concerns, it's likely that the user would want to make sure they're closed after using them, hence the reminder.
