Nexus 5 Don't want update 5.0.1

[AC Question]

I'm still on the original KitKat. I'm not a heavy-duty phone user, so I'm fine with the OS I have on the phone.

When an Android update shows up, I usually delete the notification. Now I have a notification for the Android 5.0.1 update, and it won't let me get rid of the notification. It says to "tap to learn more and download". I don't want the update !!

How can I get rid of this notification? If I tap, will it force a download?

I don't have the time or inclination to learn a new system (actually, it's probably an old system by now!)

If you tap, you will learn more, and be invited to download . You don't have to download. If you download, you don't have to install, or even keep the download.
