Android Pay vs Samsung Pay

For those that have use these which one is best or should I set up both. I don't want to make Samsung pay my default app if Android Pay is better. However, Samsung Pay wants me to make it my default before I can complete setup. Any tips or suggestions?

I would do Samsung pay. Can use it almost anywhere. And you can use loyalty cards and gift cards.

I use Samsung pay at gas pumps.
I now hold it sideways and it works better than holding it vertically.

I don't think android pay will work at gas pumps.
