Why are my videos stretched when I send them via text?

Whenever I take a video on my galaxy s6 edge, it looks great on my phone. But when I send it via text to someone, it looks like it was taken with a fisheye lense, stretched horizontally. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

Just wanted to explain something and not sure if this is relative to your issue. but have you even noticed that when you hold the phone/device vertical (upright) and take a video.. and then view the views holding in the same proximity.. everything does look fine.. However turn you phone horizontal, take a video and then view vertically, the image becomes distorted.

Sort of like when a video has been submitted to a TV station dealing with an weather report.. the video from your phone was taking vertically but once on tv/news the image had what's know as letter box format on the left and right of the video. The key thing to remember is that the lens of the camera has been set to take images virtually and not so much horizontally. If what I've said makes sense..
