When i delete an email, it use to go to a trash folder i had to empty.

now without any changes I'm aware I made, the deleted emails I delete just disappear and do not go into the trash folder for me to empty. I use to have to delete emails in my inbox or junk box, then empty the trash folder to permanently delete them. Now if I delete them in the inbox or junk folder they just simply disappear. I want them to got to the trash folder first just incase I accidently delete something I didn't want to and want to move it back to my inbox.
