I just got a phone from StraightTalk and wanted to check that out to make sure I do have what it says on the website. Reason I am curious is because the phone on the site says I couldn't upgrade to 6.0.1 from 5.0.2. So either while I was activating it, it wound up upgrading or I got a upgraded phone. Not a problem but that makes me wonder about the phone itself now. Says it has a Quad-core 1.5 GHz & Quad-core 2.1 GHz in it and 3GB of RAM. How do I find this info out? I have tried finding Task Manager, even searched for answers and could not find a thing anywhere that was updated for 6.0.1 currently or that I could actually get to work.

Go into Settings>About phone>Baseband version. The number you see there relates to the OS... search Google for the number you see there... it'll tell you what OS you're running.

Going from 5.0.2 to 6.0.1 probably is not possible due to the fact you would have to take the 5.1.1 upgrade first. So upgrades have to be in line of each other. 6.0.1 probably uses a few data files that is included in the 5.1.1 update.

I was the one that submitted this question. It is indeed a 6.0.1, I checked in the phone itself and even used the baseband version number. They both say it is a 6.0.1.

I did find out my RAM but not my CPU, however since it runs both games I was wanting to play, I am going to assume it's got what it said minus the OS being updated.

As I said, before this was even activated, it was turned on so we could get it connected, I believe it did look for updates so maybe before it did anything, it updated the OS or by chance I actually DID get a updated Samsung Galaxy S6 from StraightTalk.

You could also install Aida64... it'll tell you all you want to know about your phone... CPU, OS, Ram, etc. Also as sfoLAX has stated there are quite a few hardware apps out there. Keep in mind that CPU-Z Fahrenheit temps are off by ~20 degrees vs their Celsius readings (which are correct)... just FYI in case you ever wanted to try CPU-Z. Aida32 temps are correct for both F and C.
