Will voicemails from US number appear after returning its SIM card?

Hello,

I'm a US student currently in Nepal. I got a local SIM to make calls, and it has a different number. My old SIM is out of the phone, a GS5, currently. I just realized I may be receiving some important phone calls, and the callers will leave voicemails. When I put my original, US, Verizon SIM back in the phone and return to a coverage area, will the voicemails (and missed calls, texts, etc) appear on the phone?

Apologies if this thread already exists, I have limited internet access and did only a limited search.

Yes, they should

The voicemails and texts should, the missed calls won't populate the dialer as that's a "live" function of the dialer app.
